Single Lady Tour 5

So this is the Heinrich Tower again..I always enjoy the time there..it´s a magical place. I took a little series there...you can also see the near chruch st. nikolaus on some pictures:

There is an old Tower on a hill with nice sight to the river Danube (Donau). It´s called Heinrichsturm (Heinrichs-Tower)
or as some people say "Hungerturm" (Hungertower).

It´s an old castle keep, built on older parts in the year 1200 (!!). The castle around was destroyed in 1297. The town of Bad Abbach restaurated the parts that are left (the tower and some walls) in 1985. Only on 1 day of the year you can have a look inside. Me myself never did

Heinrich is 27 meters tall, the wall of square stones is 4,5 meters thick.

To get there you have to take a steep drive uphill through the narrow streets of Bad Abbach or take a short and nice walk up there by foot (like I did )
